Khalid Sendide is today an Associate professor at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane. Dr. Sendide holds of a DES (Diplome des Etudes Supérieures) in Biotechnology from USMBA University and a PhD in molecular immunology jointly prepared between USMBA and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Sendide started his academic career as an Assistant Professor at the school of Sciences in Fez, before joining the school of Medicine within the same University. In 2006,Dr. Sendide joined Al Akhawayn University where he currently occupies the position of an associate professor. He was also Coordinator of Science and Engineering programs at the School of Science and Engineering and is today the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs in charge of Graduate Studies and Research.

In 2008, Dr. Sendide was awarded a Fulbright scholarship for research training at the National Institutes of Health NIH, in Bethesda, USA. His main research expertise is on the molecular aspects in infectious diseases, mainly tuberculosis. Recently, Dr. Sendide started working on bioactive molecules and the valorization of specific Moroccan biotopes. In parallel, Dr. Sendide has participated to many research projects on education in Morocco and has supervised many master and PhD students in biotech and in education. Dr. Sendide holds many patents in Biotechnology and his research has been published in prestigious international research journals.
